Experty has developed a blockchain based calling platform that allows two or more parties to connect via video or audio call. Within the application, a knowledge provider can set their rate per minute, which is paid by the knowledge seeker when they call. This exchange is settled seamlessly through the Blockchain using an Ethereum smart contract coupled with off-chain software. Experty adds value to the consulting industry through simplifying the exchange of knowledge for currency.

Mission

Our mission is to encourage the adoption of cryptocurrency on a global scale by creating an intuitive, easy to use application that is suitable for wide scale usage. We expect mass adoption within the next 3 years. Anyone who needs to make a consultation via the Experty app will also have a cryptocurrency wallet in their pocket.

Our current focus is on solving the talent crisis in the blockchain community by allowing experts to monetize their skills through a skype-like voice and video application. Payments are handled through an automated smart contract system using Experty’s native token EXY. This will let companies obtain the talent they need, allowing the blockchain community to continue to expand and flourish.

Possible Concerns

Aside from the slightly thin amount of history for the Solidity engineer, my main concern about Experty surfaced only this week. At the time of writing, the Ethereum network is struggling to cope with the demands of virtual cats running on the network.
This made me think. If virtual cats can do this, what is going to happen when more serious apps such as Experty start really running at full steam on the Ethereum blockchain. Even, what will happen when the inevitable virtual dogs etc arrive.
Ethereum is moving to Proof of Stake soon which some people think may alleviate some of the current issues. And also it turns out that Experty have also made provisions for this issue. The whitepaper includes a section on potential Ethereum bottle-necking and outlines an idea for off-chain transactions similar to those that are currently in development by Raiden Network.
While details are a little thin, the fact that the team thought about this well before the kitties arrived is reassuring and this is no longer a large concern for me.

How Experty Works

Our current focus is solving the talent crisis in blocked communities by letting experts monetize their skills through sound and video apps like skype. Payments are handled through automated intelligent contracting systems using Expert’s EXIT. This will let the company acquire the talent they need, so the blockchain community continues to grow and expand.

Easy To Use

It consists of apps available for mobile, web, and desktop. Users can also send free text messages to each other to discuss further requirements if needed. Text messages may also be disabled by the provider if they choose. Voice or video calls are always paid, billed by a predefined tariff provider.

THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

Avenue to connect two or more people so that they may be paid knowledge exchange via online voice or video call. In this document we identify the participants as knowledge seeker and knowledge provider. However, Expert’s possible use cases are wider than just knowledge exchange.
